Week 2 of the Fun Starts Here Tour with Failte Ireland, and this week, we're in Waterford. The weather was so good today that we all picked up a bit of a tan! Our activities were brilliant fun, so it made today one of the best days in a long time.
We started out at the Dunmore East Adventure Centre where myself and Mary tried out some sailing. I won't lie to you.... I've waited 31 years to find a sport or past-time I could do ok at, and I think I finally may have found my calling. A brilliant experience, made easier by the patience and humour of Gary, our instructor.
Second activity of the day was abseiling and rock climbing with Ardmore Adventures. The location was absolutely breathtaking... Goats Island at Ardmore. It took a bit of strength to put my fear of heights out of my head (I'd already had a mini panic attack in the car on the way down!), but again... a brilliant experience, made better by our instructor Ronan.
